When and how do I need to pay rent and deposit?
You need to pay the agreed rent and deposit at the start of the lease before you
could Move-In inside the premises. The payment if made to LHS are to be in Cheque
or via Online Bank transfer. In certain cases landlords do have preference of cash.

What documents are required to lease a property?
As per the state laws you need to provide your Identity proof (Driving Licensee,
PAN Card, Passport etc), your service/job proof (Company Offer letter, Photostat
of Company I-card).

Is Police verification mandatory even for short-term lettings?
Yes, police verification is mandatory and you should get Police verification done
before you move-in inside the premises. Many societies demand a copy of Police verification
to be submitted in the society office.

What is the process of Move-Out?
1. Licensee needs to inform LHS regarding his/her move-out 1 month in advance.
2. On the day of move-out the property Inspection is done in presence of the licensee
and keys are handed over to LHS.
3. An Account settlement is prepared and sent to both landlord and licensee.
4. Once agreed, the details are sent to Accounts dept to do the transfer.
5. The amount is transferred into the Licensee’s account via online transfer.

How much time does it take to get the deposit back after move-out?
Generally all these formalities are completed within a week. The deposit amount
should be in licensee a/c within 10days.

In that case you still have to pay for the remaining notice period rent. This amount
is deducted from your security deposit and the rest amount transferred.

During move-out what things should I keep in mind?
1. Please pay all of your utility bills including electricity bill.
2. Get the property cleaned thoroughly.
3. In case this property was being as your current correspondence address, then
please change your correspondence address.
4. Remove all your belongings from it
